We are a privately owned and operated residential aged care home that has been operating in Forest Lake since 2000. Our mission is to help and support people to live their best lives and we are looking for people who are passionate about caring for the elderly!
At Forest Lake Lodge, we adopt a holistic approach to caring for our residents. This means nurturing and supporting each resident's emotional, physical, spiritual and recreational needs and desires. We believe that all staff play a vital role in this and so we are looking for team members who can help us to achieve our mission.
We believe that food cooked fresh tastes better and is better for you so we need your help to deliver delicious nutritious meals to some really special people, our residents. About the role
- Full-time position.
- Earn more money through regular weekend work! 50% Saturday and 75% loading on Sunday.

About you

- You understand hygiene and safe work practices and naturally apply this to your work.
- If you have the ability to deliver Asian food preferences this would be highly desirable.
Minimum Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
- Ideally a food Safety Supervisor, or experience in food safety management including HACCP processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Create amazing meals in accordance with industry standards.
- Maintain your own squeaky-clean kitchen area, equipment, appliances, utensils and fixtures.
- Accurate record-keeping (e.g. number of meals per day, missed meals, fridge/freezer temperatures maintained) to evidence activities are being undertaken to set standards and timeframes.
- Stock maintenance and control.
- Abide by the Code of Conduct.
- Stay up to date with training.
- Any other duties as required.
- Positively contribute to our plan for continuous improvement, with your feedback we make things better!
