Chef/Cook
An opportunity available for an enthusiastic Chef or cook to join our team. To be successful you will need to demonstrate sound knowledge of food preparation including health regulations, be of neat appearance and have a dedicated work ethic. Your commitment to delivering high quality and varied meals on time and to budget is essential.
Qualifications & experience
· Minimum 1 years’ experience and tertiary qualification
· Experience with breakfast and lunch in a range of cuisines particularly Australian cuisine
· Experience in a challenging environment
· Punctual, organised, and trustworthy
· Food Handlers certificate
· Own transport
· Ability to collaborate with other staff.
· Excellent communication skills
· Diligence!
· Ability to resolve conflict in a constructive manner.
· Ability to solve problems and think-on-your-feet.
· Willingness to take initiative and make decisions.
Tasks & responsibilities
· Following HACCP
· work with a small team
· Available Breakfast and Lunch
· Report to business owner
· Assist creating weekly specials.
· Ensure wastage is minimised by careful supervision of food preparation methods.
