Toronto Private Hospital stands as a distinguished 105-bed medical, mental health, palliative care, and rehabilitation facility, perched on the western edge of Lake Macquarie, NSW, overlooking Toronto township. Its central location affords easy access, just 30 minutes from Gosford, Newcastle, and Maitland.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As part of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in food preparation for patients, staff, and functions, ensuring top-tier quality and adherence to food safety plans, HACCP standards, and hospital policies. This fast-paced position demands impeccable time management to meet the hospital's food service demands efficiently.
ABOUT YOU
To excel in this role, you must be a seasoned, qualified chef with a passion for culinary excellence and service. Previous experience in a clinical setting or preparing food for medical patients is highly advantageous. Your responsibilities will include stock ordering, receiving deliveries, and maintaining high standards in allergen management. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage high-volume catering workflows are essential.
Key Requirements:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a hospital or hotel central kitchen.
- Proficiency in catering to diverse dietary requirements.
This role requires flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends.
