We are looking for a full-time Trainer and Assessor for our Cookery/ Hospitality department at our Perth campus.
The primary course to be delivered is:
- Certificate IV in Kitchen Management
We also deliver
- Diploma of Hospitality Management
- Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management
Key duties include:
- Provide quality, compliant, effective training and assessment according to SIA policies and procedures, course specifications, principles of assessment and legislative requirements
- Provide academic support, mentoring and motivation, catering to at-risk students, differing learning styles and individual learner backgrounds
- Maintain all student academic, attendance and other records accurately, efficiently and thoroughly
- Participate in professional development
Position requirements
- Unrestricted right to work in Australia
- Preferred: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or diploma or higher level qualification in adult education. SIA may provide assistance to obtain this qualification to the right candidate
- Preferred: Australian-recognised qualifications in cookery and/ or hospitality
- Current cookery industry skills and knowledge directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided,
- High level of spoken and written English.
- Police clearance or willingness to obtain one
- Currently residing within normal commuting distance from Osborne Park, Perth.
