4 Full time and Permanent positions. Positions are in Epping, Reservoir and Thomastown, Victoria.
Offering creative and traditional Indian flavours, Aroma Indian Cuisine operates fully licensed fine dining restaurants serving authentic Indian dishes.
We are seeking seasoned culinary professionals with creative flairs and in-depth understanding of Indian spices, textures, and techniques who can leave their mark on every dish that leaves the kitchen.
You will be responsible for:
- preparing and cooking authentic Indian dishes.
- using all kitchen equipment competently.
- ensuring use of quality ingredients
- ordering and receiving supplies.
- working with the chef to plan seasonal menus, daily specials, and special events.
- minimizing wastage.
- maintaining standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance.
- ensuring compliance with applicable health & safety requirements.
And you will have:
- prior full-time and relevant industry experience of at least 3+ years.
- an acceptable trade qualification or an additional 3-year relevant experience.
- appropriate rights to work full time in Australia.
- an in depth understanding of Indian spices, cooking methods and techniques.
- knife, time management and multi-tasking capabilities and a high level of personal hygiene.
Experience within 5-star rated establishments is preferred but not mandatory. An annual salary between $70,000 to $73,000 plus superannuation will be paid to the right candidate.
