- Cook all menu items to recipe specifications
- Examine foodstuffs to ensure quality
- Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
- Preparing and cooking food
- Seasoning food during cooking
- Correct recipe portioning of food, place it on plates and add gravies, sauces and garnishes
- Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities
- Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
- Maintain high standards and food handling practices
- Be a team player
- May plan menus and estimate food requirements
- May train other kitchen staff and apprentices
- Relevant Qualification
- 2+ years of experience in similar role
