About the Opportunity:
You will provide culturally sensitive and strengths-based, casework and practical support to individuals and families whose tenancies are at risk, as well as those that are experiencing homelessness. Working with a range of stakeholders, you will support and empower people to build their capacity to address issues impacting on their tenancies and support those who are homeless to explore potential Housing Options or other improvement in their circumstances.
To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Certificate III in Community Services or equivalent and / or 3 years' experience in Case Management / Family Support Work / Community Services
  • Prior experience in case management / complex family support work and the development of tailored client support plans.
  • Knowledge of the relevant legislation such as Care and Protection / Information Sharing and Residential Tenancies Act and issues facing people at risk of homelessness.
  • Prior experience or, at a minimum, demonstrated commitment to working respectfully with Indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse clients, communities, staff, and Aboriginal controlled organisations.
