About the position

Council’s Community Strengthening Department is looking for a dynamic individual to fill a Coordinator Community Programs position.

The main responsibilities will include: 

• Leading a team of community development officers responsible for a range of projects and programs on behalf of Council which encompasses: Community Grants, Positive Ageing, the SIAG project, Impact Volunteering and the L2P program;
• Contributing as a key member of the leadership group, influencing the direction of the Community Strengthening Department; and
• Managing key stakeholders and applying a creative approach to community building and service delivery in alignment with Council priorities.

This is a full-time position working 38 hours per week.

• Have relevant experience in community development related activities, along with tertiary qualifications in community development or related field;

This position is a Band 7 currently remunerated between $104,144 to $116,110 per annum, plus superannuation. Salary level will be based on the experience level of the candidate. Overtime will also be paid as required.
