About the role
This position is a full-time role in the Governance and Information team, based at Council’s Moruya Administration Offices. The successful candidate will manage the development and delivery of Council’s Integrated Planning and Reporting requirements and conduct ongoing organisational service reviews.
Your main duties will include:
  • Coordinate the development and preparation of the Community Strategic Plan, Delivery Program and Operational Plan and monitor and report the progress of the activities contained within.
  • Facilitate the Long Term Financial Plan, Asset Management Plan, Workforce Plan, Annual Report and State of Shire Report.
  • Undertake, coordinate and manage the delivery of organisational service reviews and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Lead and manage the Audit, Risk and Improvement (ARIC) Committee.
  • Coordinate the development, implementation and review of corporate policies, ensuring compliance with Local Government Act and manage Council’s internal and external policy registers.
  • Facilitate networks and partnerships and coordinate compilation of data for industry surveys.
Salary Information
Total remuneration for the role is in the range $102,820.91 to $129,183.03 gross per annum consisting of:
  • $92,631.45 to $116,381.11 base salary
  • $10,189.46 to $12,801.92 superannuation (at 11%)

About you
You will be an experienced project manager who can confidently work autonomously and strategically to deliver on deadlines. You will have an ability to understand and assess complex technical issues. Your ability to clearly write concise reports and your specialist skills and knowledge in Local Government operations will set you apart from the rest. Your application will demonstrate the following:
  • Tertiary qualifications and relevant experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Experience in public consultation and superior customer service skills.
  • Sound facilitation, conflict management, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated performance and outcome orientation.
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of all Microsoft Office Professional Applications.
