Rockingham Peel Group is part of the South Metropolitan Health Service, one of the fastest growing health services in Western Australia and comprises two hospital campuses, Rockingham General Hospital and Murray District Hospital, in addition to community and mental health services across Peel, Rockingham and Kwinana. As the flagship hospital, Rockingham General is focused on providing high quality general medical, surgical and mental health services as well as outpatient care. Murray District Hospital offers inpatient medical services, palliative care and allied health services.
SMHS delivers quality, safe and effective hospital and health services within a catchment area stretching more than 3300 square kilometres across the southern half of Perth.

The successful applicant will be required to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and is responsible for the development, facilitation, implementation and evaluation of educational, professional development programs/resources and strategies for mandatory and corporate training and education.

Essential Selection Criteria
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of contemporary education, training and development theory and practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development, facilitation and evaluation of education and development interventions using continuous improvement principles.
  • Demonstrated advanced problem solving skills including the ability to conceptualise, analyse and implement solutions.
Desirable Selection Criteria
  • Relevant post graduate qualifications in education and development or business/ human resources.
All other criteria will be assessed throughout the recruitment process.

Eligibility
Are you eligible? To be eligible for a permanent appointment to the Western Australian public sector is essential that you are an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status in Australia. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.

This is a Permanent Part Time appointment at 38 hours per fortnight.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of six (6) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
