The Student Administration team at Swinburne University of Technology are looking for a Coordinator, Digital Information and Records Management to join their team.
The Coordinator Digital Information and Records Management works to achieve best practice information management and compliance with legislative requirements for business information across Swinburne University of Technology.
To assist the University in transitioning to a digital records environment, the Coordinator Digital Information and Records Management brings together skills in Digital Information with experience in managing enterprise information across a large and diverse organisation.
The role will engage with key stakeholders at all levels and take responsibility for ensuring that Records Management processes and systems meet legislative requirements and are designed with the customer in mind. The position has a problem-solving focus and investigates a comprehensive range of Digital Information transformation challenges and opportunities.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Demonstrated experience working in a digital records environment, including day-to-day operational aspects of document and Records Management as well as continuing to pursue operational procedures that support Digital Information managed through automated, efficient and user-focused workflows
- Demonstrated experience in the successful delivery of projects, meeting project and business goals and expectations, and positive change management activities
- Demonstrated staff management experience and leadership skills, with proficiency in risk management, problem-solving, and planning.
- Sound knowledge of and demonstrated ability to understand and interpret standards, legislation and government policy, as well as provision of advice and consulting services on information management issues of a complex, critical and sensitive nature
- Strategic planning and understanding of Records Management strategy
- Experience in using an Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) and/or extensive experience with using databases or other complex software applications
- Extensive knowledge and experience with the Public Records Office of Victoria’s (PROV) standards and guidelines and/or extensive knowledge and experience working within regulatory frameworks
- A degree in information management, information systems or a related discipline, and extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
