As the Coordinator of Learning and Development, you will play a pivotal role in driving a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous improvement within our organization. Reporting to the General Manager of Health, Safety, and Training, you will lead the development and implementation of Learning And training initiatives, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Model positive safety behaviors and lead Workplace Health and Safety compliance efforts.
- Cultivate an outcomes-focused culture where accountability for corporate objectives is embraced.
- Lead, develop, and support a team dedicated to meeting organizational service expectations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide comprehensive advice, education, and service delivery.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of learning/training systems and projects.
- Manage the learning management system (LMS) and oversee the Learning And Development framework.
- Identify and manage training needs to ensure staff compliance with legislative requirements.
- Coordinate professional development opportunities to support career progression for staff.
- Provide advice on legislative funding, trainee, and apprentice wage classifications.
- Drive continuous improvement of processes and service delivery across the organization.
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Training, Education, Leadership, Management, or related discipline.
- Extensive experience in a similar role within a diverse multi-disciplined organization.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in leading teams within a collaborative work culture.
- Proven experience in program management, including development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a track record of driving change.
- Ability to build strong customer relationships and balance stakeholder needs.
- Working knowledge of applicable legislation and industrial instruments.
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to respond to changing demands effectively.
- Personal resilience, self-awareness, and business acumen.
- Experience in promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
