About the role
We have a newly created opportunity for a dedicated and dynamic Coordinator of Library Operations to join our Community Development & Libraries team. In this key leadership role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our library services, ensuring they are efficient, innovative, and responsive to the needs of our diverse community.
In this role, you will undertake duties such as:
- Oversee the daily operations of the library including financial, technology, planning, performance and service excellence.
- Lead, mentor and support library staff, fostering a collaborative work environment
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community groups, schools and stakeholders to promote library services and programs
- Implement and refine practices, procedures and programs
- Ensure library services are customer-centric, accessible and responsive to community’s evolving needs
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Library and Information Management, Community Development, Education or related field
- Extensive experience in the operational oversight of public libraries in a leadership capacity
- Demonstrated experience developing positive workplace culture and managing diverse teams
- Excellence communication skills, both written and verbal
- Effective problem-solving and ability to adapt to an ever-changing learning landscape
