Job Description
The Coordinator, Digital Records Library:

  • Coordinates the implementation of the department’s information asset management strategies with the administration of the DBCA structured records management systems to deliver a robust, reliable and business focused information services.
  • Coordinates the management of the evaluation, development, implementation, maintenance, review and support of the DBCA structured records management systems.
  • Coordinates system administration, configuration and ongoing support of the DBCA records management system that meets department business needs and legislative requirements.
  • Ensures the quality, integrity, security and confidentiality of the records management system, including undertaking business process analysis, design and customisation for enhancing the system.
  • Coordinates projects and develops procedures and standards and manages system training and user support services.
  • Responsible for day-to-day management of end user support, including where appropriate advise on governance arrangements and recordkeeping standards that are to be applied to the DBCA records management systems (i.e. configuration standards).
Selection Criteria
Applicants should address the following four (4) criteria. These should be addressed in no more than three (3) pages in total. * Experience working in a complex, varied and geographically distributed information and related technology (IT) public sector environment or similar, demonstrating ability to explore various possibilities and assist in generating innovative open standards-based solutions relating to modern information asset management in a digital environment with a demonstrated understanding of records management principles and concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply lateral and creative thinking to contribute ideas and solutions for a complex, varied and geographically distributed environment, including having knowledge of contemporary issues related to best practice principles, methods and process, and a demonstrated ability to apply these in a diverse corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated experience administering digital information management, including:
  • experience in the administration of structured and unstructured records management using contemporary digital solutions (for example, Microsoft 365 SharePoint), both technical and functional, which includes integration and reporting; and
  • demonstrated experience in coordinating information asset lifecycle change to improve records management.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and delivering suitable training programs related to modern records management systems (for example Microsoft 365 SharePoint).
Note: The successful applicant will be required to possess or obtain a current (issue date not older than 6 months) and satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.
