About the Role
The Shire of Esperance has a vacancy for a Library Coordinator. This position will lead the team at the Esperance Public Library to ensure that programs are engaging and relevant and resources and services are provided to meet the needs of the Esperance Community.
About You
In order to be successful in this role you will have:
A relevant qualification enabling professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA)
Experience working in a leadership role within a library
Thorough knowledge of modern library procedures, practices and systems
High level of interpersonal skills and conflict resolution with the ability and experience to communicate and network with a diverse range of people and organisations to ensure excellent and timely customer service
An understanding and appreciation of community development principles
An ability to implement change and contribute effectively to the setting of strategic directions for the library service
Sound research, written and verbal communication skills
A high level of digital literacy and an ability to manage and motivate staff and customers in a rapidly changing digital environment
Benefits
Salary: $86,368 per annum, plus superannuation.
