About the roleOur OSHC is located on the beautiful grounds of St Brendan’s Catholic Primary School and is open to children from the Catholic as well as the Lake Munmorah Public School. The Coordinator plays an integral role and is responsible for managing and leading a team of enthusiastic educators in providing and overseeing programs for children aged 5 – 12 years in Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care.
This is a Permanent Full-time position.
Duties
- Engaging, implementing, and evaluating the program to ensure it caters for the interests and needs of school age children and meets the requirements of the 'My Time - Our Place' Framework.
- Understanding the requirements of being the Nominated Supervisor under the Education and Care Services National Regulations.
- Ensuring compliance to the National Quality Standards and the Regulations.
- Building ongoing positive relationships with the schools, families, and employees.
- Where needed take on the role of Educational Leader within the service.
- Working on administrative tasks and efficient day to day operation of the service.
- Working with Children Check.
- Completion of CHCPRT025 "Identify & report children and young people at risk".
- Qualifications Diploma or Cert IV in OSHC.
- Plus, experience performing the role of a Nominated Supervisor or Coordinator working in Outside School Hours Care.
- Skills and experience in team leadership.
- Knowledge of regulations relevant to Outside School Hours Care and the National Quality Framework – My Time Our Place, as it applies to Outside School Hours Care.
- Current First Aid certification/CPR certification/Asthma and Anaphylaxis.
