Community Housing Central Australia (CHCA) is an Aboriginal controlled, not-for-profit, registered community-housing provider in Alice Springs. CHCA manages over 400 properties across the Town Camps and urban areas of Alice Springs, providing social and affordable housing to over 3000 residents.
The Apmere Urlte Program at 34 South Terrace, The Gap is a Transitional Housing Program currently funded by the Department of Territory Families, Housing and Communities (TFH&C).
The aim of the Program is to reduce homelessness and build the capacity and skills of participants by providing medium to long term (12-18 months) transitional accommodation in a supportive community environment. The Program will support participants to develop the capacity and skills to live independently, and have access to safe, secure and affordable housing at the end of the Program.
The Coordinator is an important role, responsible for overseeing delivery of the onsite elements of the Program in line with the Program Manual and Case Management Framework. This includes staff management, program management and compliance, overseeing the monitoring and evaluation of the program and developing partnerships with external support providers and stakeholders.
