Are you looking to make a positive difference in the lives of at-risk young people and lead a highly motivated and dedicated multidisciplined team delivering tailored youth support programs from multiple service sites in Yarra? We are seeking an experienced contemporary and engaging leader to coordinate the delivery of Youth and Middles years services for the Yarra City Council, in a changing environment.
The Coordinator Youth and Middles Years provides strategic and operational leadership, with a particular focus on service collaboration and partnerships, and a team culture that promotes excellence, innovation and inclusiveness. We are seeking someone who can think and act strategically, capable of supporting young people to co-design service responses, and strategically advocate, by enabling a voice for young people to influence Council’s decision making.
This is a key leadership role in Yarra’s Family, Youth and Children Services’ Branch and you will contribute to the development and delivery of branch/organizational goals and in accordance with Yarra’s Community Vision, Council Plan, organizational values and behaviours.
Your background includes leading and developing inclusive strategies, policies, and services to enhance positive community outcomes, particularly for at risk young people, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and those from culturally diverse backgrounds. You have advanced understanding of the principles of strategic planning, advocacy, partnership investment and understanding of the current reform agenda impacting the community sector, along with sound financial management, communication, accountability and leadership skills.
