The Role: Senior to Principal Environmental Approvals
Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead environmental approval processes for projects, ensuring alignment with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality environmental assessments, impact statements, and management plans.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders, ensuring transparent and effective communication.
- Stay ahead of environmental legislation changes, advising our team and clients on compliance strategies.
- Champion sustainable mining practices, integrating innovative approaches to minimize environmental impact.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in environmental consultancy, specifically within the mining sector.
- A deep understanding of the environmental approvals process, including experience with EIS, EPBC Act, and state-based approvals.
- Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead teams on complex projects.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, capable of building relationships at all levels.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
