Highly regarded with clear core capabilities, they have a scalable M&A strategy unique to the sector, with a rich pipeline backed by a strong brand and reputation.
The Role
This newly created position plays a critical role working closely with the Managing Director to deliver on target acquisition plans within the Australia and Asia regions. A highly visible role, it will positively impact business growth through the sourcing and conversion of new target acquisition opportunities. The role will work in close collaboration with local regional leadership along with the Head of Corporate Development (UK based) and the broader Corporate Development Team.
Key elements of the role are:
- Compile and manage the acquisition target database for the region
- Generate new leads through outbound origination activities (eg. cold calling, network building, attendance at relevant industry conferences and events, establishing relationships with intermediaries etc)
- Generate and convert “off-market” leads
- Support the assessment of acquisition targets
- Oversee the execution of deals, with the support of relevant external providers and the broader team
The Person
To be successful in this role it is essential you have:
- Background in M&A / Corporate Development with ideally a minimum of 8 years experience
- Demonstrated financial literacy and commercial acumen
- An understanding of private equity/M&A/Corporate finance would be an advantage
- Experience and/or knowledge of TICC/Governance, Risk & Compliance / Environment, Health & Safety / Sustainability sectors would also be seen as an advantage
- Flexibility to work across multiple time zones and an ability to travel as required
- You will also be charismatic, embody a hunter mentality, be able to work independently but additionally work well within a high performing team
The Offer:
The annual salary on offer for this role is commensurate with experience, offered as a full time, permanent position. As this is a fully remote option, the successful candidate can be located anywhere in Australia however ideally in the East Coast States.
