SalaryOur client is a medium sized FMCG company with a global parent company based in the southeast suburbs. With goods being imported and some local manufacturing, they are looking for a Finance Manager with foreign exchange hedging and accounting experience.
About the role
This 6 month contract role with an opportunity for permanency and/or extension reports into the Finance Director with 4 direct reports including 2 accountants, 1 AP, and 1 AR.
The Corporate Finance Manager is responsible for financial reporting, accounting and system processes, treasury, tax and compliance risk management.
This includes establishing & maintaining accounting processes and systems in order to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, financial reporting disciplines and risk management in line with legal, local entity & international group requirements, responsibility for internal controls and compliance and treasury and foreign exchange risk management.
The Corporate Finance Manager is also responsible for the Accounts Payable and Receivable teams, and overhead cost reporting, including wage and discretionary cost budgeting. The key value add in this role, above ensuring that all financial controls are managed, is to identify and execute on continuous improvement initiatives and take the lead to ensure business functions work within processes and systems efficiently.
About you
- Strong leadership experience managing a small team
- Experience in FMCG highly regarded but not required
- Foreign exchange accounting and hedging experience required
- Robust experience in P&L mgt, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, tax, and ledger management
- IFRS exposure beneficial
- Immediately available
- Based in the Southeast
