Position: Corporate Services Manager
Location: Melbourne, Victoria (site visits and interstate travel may be required from time to time)
Remuneration: $110,000 - $130,000
Thicket Group offers large-scale contracts for mass planting works of all sizes and scope including revegetation, wetland construction, large-scale civil projects, bio-retention basins, offsets and forestry services. Our company operates in both rural and urban areas, Australia-wide. We are looking for dynamic and uniquely talented management professional with a high-level of experience as a strategic thinker in building a successful company, leading customer driven teams, and juggling multiple responsibilities to facilitate business growth.
As a Corporate Services Manager of a mass-planting company, your responsibilities will be:
Business Management and Governance:
- Writing the policies, procedures, terms and conditions, relating to the functions of the business. The key focus areas include, but not limited to:
- human resources
- workplace health and safety
- workforce planning
- records management
- business operating systems
- financial and administrative management,
- customer service management
- Oversee the management, adherence, and compliance of all corporate policies and procedures
- Ensure all managers, supervisors, and staff take responsibility to control and minimise workplace risk and observe workplace health and safety procedures
- Responsible for the leadership, innovation, governance, and management necessary to identify, evaluate, mitigate, and monitor the business’ operational and strategic risks
- Develop and manage the business’ marketing strategy including website materials and social media content
- Creating and executing a stakeholder engagement strategy, which involves building and strengthening relationships and strategic partnerships with relevant stakeholders as well as building external support for the organization
Human Resources:
- Developing effective human resources management policies and procedures that will support employees across all teams and functionalities
- Provide advice and employee relations support including:
- Leadership and culture
- Employee relations including key performance index, performance/behaviour management
- Recruitment and staff retention
- Develop, analyse, determine, and implement strategies which will enable business goals and objectives to be achieved.
- Develop and manage the company’s marketing strategies, including developing website material, social media content, promotions, and community engagement.
- Oversee the accounting, money management, general business budgeting, payroll, superannuation and taxes, invoicing, and quoting for the business.
- Provide strategic oversight of, and operational support and guidance to, the Thicket teams and staff under their leadership. This includes leading team meetings and training sessions.
Information Technology and Records Management:
- Overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of the business’ information technology, including information security and data protection
- Organise, maintain and protect a company’s information database, in both paper and electronic form
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
- To be successful in this role you need to be degree qualified
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Corporate Services Manager with relevant experience in:
- Commercial landscaping
- Economic/financial modelling
