About: Due to a sustained period of growth, our client is on the hunt for a dynamic, engaging and capable Head of Corporate to join their team.
Purpose of the Position: The Head of Corporate is a pivotal member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing the Finance, Accounts Payable and Receivable, IT Support and Customer Support functions. This role is crucial in ensuring that strategic goals are met through effective financial management, IT oversight, and exceptional customer support. The Head of Corporate will inspire and lead their teams to exceed business objectives, maintain financial integrity, and improve overall performance.
Key Responsibilities:
General Management/Commercial Advice
- Provide managerial and commercial advice as a member of the leadership team
- Offer strategic input into commercial areas of the business
- Review commercial contracts and arrangements ensuring the interests of the business are protected
- Develop and implement a business partnering approach
Customer Support
- Oversee the Customer Support function and provide direction to the department manager ensuring high quality customer support is provided both internally and externally by developing team to provide a wide range of support services.
Finance
- Oversee finance function and provide direction to existing department managers
- Advise on financial matters and assist with budgets, financial projections and performance reporting
- direct the delivery of high-quality strategic reporting and analysis
- Provision of insightful financial advice and direction to management regarding company performance.
- Participate in commercial duties including pricing strategies.
- Support the Finance Manager to present monthly financial packs, including full group financial results and forecasts.
- Oversee debtor and creditor functions for active cash flow management.
- Oversee the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Manage insurance program including the renewal of insurance premiums and handle insurance claims in conjunction with organisation’s insurance brokers
- Oversee IT support to the business
- Work with direct manager and CTO to future proof the business in relation to ICT needs
- Oversee major IT projects and expenditures
- Develop and review necessary policies, plans and strategies regarding cybersecurity, disaster recovery and business continuity
- Assist with review and compliance with a broad range of business agreements, obligations and other compliance matters (e.g. customer agreements, lease agreements, supplier agreements etc.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and guidelines in consultation with other departments, including but not limited to HR and OH&S
- Work with key areas, such as HR, in supporting good governance practices and updating requirements for the business as it continues to grow
- Act as a team player and key leader in supporting business priorities
- Participate in various financial management activities and other commercial projects as required.
- CA/CPA qualified
- Degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent
- Strong analytical skills and substantial experience in financial, strategic, and operational leadership
- High level of personal drive, energy, and resilience
