About the Role
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Cost Controller to join our Utilities Division, supporting our Power Station Maintenance team.
Service Stream has recently secured a long-term maintenance contract supporting the AGL Loy Yang Power station located in the Latrobe Valley.
The Cost Controller will be required to work closely with the Project Control Manager to ensure the project meets certain goals, objectives and requirements. You will be creating and maintaining budgets and schedules on the project whilst also providing progress reports against work schedules.

Location: Loy Yang Power Station, VIC
Reporting Line: Project Controls Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely cost reports including variance analysis and progress and resolution of issues that may cause delay and or further cost.
- Create and implement project control plans, policies and procedures in accordance with industry best practises.
- Support successful procurement of goods and services.
- Attend project meetings with management and key stakeholders and ensure consistent utilisation of Project control tools, systems and upskilling of project engineers.
- Provide direct support and functional guidance to the Project delivery teams to achieve business and Project goals and objectives.
- Maintain effective relationships to assist the project manager manage client expectations.
This opportunity will suit an individual who has ideally worked in a similar Engineering role within the Utilities Infrastructure/Civil Construction industries. In addition to the above you will demonstrate:
- Proven experience as a Cost Controller supporting construction projects
- Experience within project accounting, cost control and project management
- Exposure to generating reports
- Experience using the MS Office Suite
- Experience using project planning software including MSP or P6 should be an advantage
- Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Project Management or a similar discipline are advantageous
