Cost Engineer / Cost controller. Leading oil, gas, and energy owner / operator

As a Cost Engineer you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective execution of our projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Cost Estimation: Develop accurate and reliable cost estimates for projects, considering all relevant factors.
- Budget Management: Work closely with the project manager to establish and manage project budgets. Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle, identifying and addressing any variances.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential cost-related risks and propose mitigation strategies to ensure projects remain within budget constraints.
- Benchmarking and Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and cost benchmarks. Analyze and compare actual costs against estimated costs, providing insights for continuous improvement.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, procurement, and finance, to ensure alignment on cost-related matters and support effective decision-making.
- Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive cost reports to stakeholders, highlighting key cost drivers, variances, and trends. Provide regular updates on project financial performance.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and enhancement of Cost Engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cost Engineer in the oil, gas, or energy industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in cost estimation software and project management tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
