Reporting to the Project Directors, you will be responsible for the control and completion of specific projects ensuring compliance with agreed strategies and objectives to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope and budget to ensure client satisfaction.
To be successful you will have extensive experience and understanding of the building and construction process including design development and contract administration coupled with a solid background in managing a range of projects (both government and private) from concept planning through to completion and handover to the client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet project scope, budget and time objectives.
- Ensure works are carried out in compliance with relevant codes, approvals and standards.
- Manage project resources (time, financial, equipment) allocation.
- Co-ordinate the project team, including design and construction personnel.
- Manage project stakeholder relationships.
- Plan and schedule project timelines.
- Monitor and report on project progress to all stakeholders.
- Present timely reports and minutes defining project progress, issues and solutions.
- Implement and manage changes to the project scope, schedule and budget.
- Perform risk management actions to minimise project risks.
- Contraction administration duties and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
Key Requirements:
- Proven history of delivering or exceeding the expectations of clients and stakeholders in respect to outcomes, budget and time management.
- 5+ years experience working as a client-side Project Manager within the construction/building industry.
- Experience in co-ordinating the successful delivery of multiple projects concurrently.
- Possession of relevant building/construction (not engineering) related qualification or trade experience.
- Well-developed skills in report writing and team leadership.
- Conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiating and interpersonal soft skills.
