CASACV is a dynamic feminist-based organisation offering specialist trauma informed services to individuals, families and community impacted by sexual violence across the central Victoria region. We deliver 24-hour crisis care support, therapeutic counselling, early intervention, outreach services, education and training, and research.
The Roles
The role provides quality trauma informed assessment, support and counselling to children, young people and adults who have experienced sexual violence, and their support networks. In addition to working with individuals and their supports, the roles facilitate trauma informed therapeutic group work and professional consultations to further strengthen client positive outcomes.
About You
You have a degree or above qualification in social work, psychology, family therapy or similar discipline. You also have demonstrated understanding of the issues relating to sexual assault and family violence within a gendered context.
You bring demonstrated skills, including therapeutic assessment, crisis intervention, risk assessment and safety planning. Your knowledge of system responses to sexual assault/and or family violence, including community, criminal, legal, medical, generalist health, mental health will be vital to the success of this role.
