THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking expressions of interest from reliable and experienced Security Officers based in Darwin.

We currently have 2 casual vacancies for 1 x male Security Officer and 1 x female Security Officer to work at multiple sites in the Darwin City area with an immediate start.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing courteous, professional and efficient customer service to all persons within the courts
• Conducting x-ray screening, using metal detectors and searching 
• Roving security patrols both internally and externally
• Ensuring the safety and security of facilities and all persons within and around the court precincts
• Conflict resolution and negotiation
• Managing access control systems
• Directing and escorting visitors on site as required
• Writing detailed and accurate reports
• Assisting in any emergency situations or evacuations

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Current dual NT Security/Crowd Control Licence
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Current Ochre Card
• NT Driver's Licence or Reliable Transport
• Previous screening experience/qualifications highly desirable
• Evidence of Working in Australia entitlement
• Reliable and punctual
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (must be able to speak, write and understand English clearly & proficiently)
• Strong customer service skills
• Well groomed and professionally presented
