Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health & Community Services is Canberra’s only Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service. Located in the heart of Canberra, we provide trusted holistic healthcare to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities of the ACT and surrounding areas.
We are seeking a person with 3+ years experience as a Practice Manager (or similar) to lead our clinic admin and support team, including medical receptionists, chronic disease coordinator and community transport officers. This team plays a vital role in contributing to the excellent care provided by our multidisciplinary clinical team including GPs, visiting specialists, nurses and allied health specialists.
This role is based at our recently purpose-built clinic at Narrabundah, a beautiful building with up-to-date facilities and free parking.
Hours of work are Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5 pm.
This is a great opportunity to directly contribute to closing the gap on health outcomes for First Nations people.
You must have:
- Experience in practice management (or similar role)
- Strong awareness of the issues facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, particularly in healthcare.
- Demonstrated experience in working effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
