Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy. Woodside Energy is Australia's leading natural gas producer, and Bechtel is excited to be working with this key customer to help meet the increasing global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source.

About the Role:
As the Craft Supervisor – Welding, you will be responsible for supervising and directing operations within your discipline.
You will ensure assigned construction operations and contractors’ performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate safety training and enforce safe work behaviours and practices at all times in conjunction with the Environmental Safety and Health Supervisor.
- Ensure the applicable design documents and welding procedures are provided to direct hire craft professionals to complete work, and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
- Provide input into work packages including means and methods, sequencing, and workforce loading.
- Assist with craft professional hiring process.
- Assist with the preparation and implementation of the 4-week look-ahead schedule.
- Other responsibilities as required.
- Knowledge of a single or multi-discipline function/s in construction or engineering environments relating to field/site based activities.
- Experience in supervision or leading a team within Oil and Gas OR heavy industrial environment preferred.
- Knowledge of/willingness to commit to Bechtel’s Zero Accident Philosophy, the Project ES&H Handbook, the Supervisors ES&H Manual, the Project Safety Management Plan and the Bechtel Core Processes.
- Analytical and strategic planning: able to prioritize and balance short-term and long-term priorities.
- Knowledge of Standard Work Process Procedures (SWPPs).
- Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.

Additional Information:
This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.).
The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products – i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco - are permitted to be brought to the site.
