Role:
Join our client - an Australian born and internationally sold fashion brand as you lead the design direction for collections, ensuring they align with brand identity and achieve financial goals. Manage the design and GT departments, collaborating with the GM and other managers to drive creative initiatives for brand success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design/Range Management:
- Guide the design team in concept development, color selection, and fabric sourcing.
- Implement a structured flow of meetings to meet critical path milestones.
- Oversee range costings, pricing, and coordination with the GM for key sign-offs.
- Merchandise and Range Planning:
- Conduct regular range performance analysis.
- Establish and update range plans, providing insights for sales and margin strategies.
- Global Ranges Consolidation:
- Review and analyze global ranges, implementing a consolidated plan.
- Marketing:
- Provide creative direction for EComm and campaign shoots.
- Work closely with Marketing for shoot preparation and execution.
- Product Performance:
- Analyze sales performance, refine range assortment, and identify margin improvement opportunities.
- Sourcing/Sustainability:
- Develop and implement a sourcing strategy with measurable targets.
- Drive sustainability initiatives across the design process.
- Financial:
- Achieve sales growth, meet margin targets, and manage department expenses.
- Seek new opportunities for revenue growth.
- Team Management:
- Lead and develop Design and GT teams.
- Manage HR responsibilities and conduct annual performance reviews.
- Degree in Fashion Design.
- Minimum 10 years in a Senior/Head of Design role.
- Proficient in range-building, trend analysis, and garment knowledge.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build relationships and adhere to tight deadlines.
