Role:We are seeking a Womenswear Designer or Creative Director to spearhead an exciting brand revitalisation project. Join an Australian born label that embodies a contemporary and chic aesthetic that seamlessly blends sophistication with a touch of edge.
Lead the design direction for collections, ensuring they align with brand identity and achieve financial goals. Reporting directly to our Director, you'll benefit from the support of a dedicated full-time design coordinator. Based in Waterloo, NSW.
Key Responsibilities:
Design/Range Management:
Guide the design team in concept development, color selection, and fabric sourcing.
Implement a structured flow of meetings to meet critical path milestones.Oversee range costings, pricing, and coordination with the GM for key sign-offs.
Merchandise and Range Planning:
Conduct regular range performance analysis.
Establish and update range plans, providing insights for sales and margin strategies.
Global Ranges Consolidation:
Review and analyse global ranges, implementing a consolidated plan.
Marketing:
Provide creative direction for EComm and campaign shoots.
Work closely with Marketing for shoot preparation and execution.
Product Performance:
Analyse sales performance, refine range assortment, and identify margin improvement opportunities.
Sourcing/Sustainability:
Develop and implement a sourcing strategy with measurable targets.
Drive sustainability initiatives across the design process.
Financial:
Achieve sales growth, meet margin targets, and manage department expenses.
Seek new opportunities for revenue growth.
Skills:
- Degree in Fashion Design.
- Up to 5 years in a Senior/Head of Design role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in the technical aspects of garment production, including fabric selection, construction techniques, and fitting
- Strong aesthetic sensibility
