The Role: Creative Director

As the Creative Director, you'll be at the heart of this ambitious project. Your mission? To weave together the creative, artistic, and marketing threads of American Trucks Downunder, transforming bold visions into captivating stories that resonate globally.

From the outback tracks leading to the Finke Desert Race to the tropical majesty of Cape York and the sandy expanse of K’gari, your creativity will ignite across some of Australia's most iconic and untamed destinations. Your challenge? To capture the essence of adventure, the spirit of collaboration, and the power of storytelling.

Join a diverse team of trailblazers in the "American Trucks Downunder" adventure. You'll work alongside Aussie Destinations Unknown and Big Dog Builds, not to mention collaborating with award-winning individuals who have left their mark on the global content scene.
 

Our team includes BRW Multi Award Winners, along with seasoned professionals who've contributed to projects on Channel 7 & 10, Discovery Channel, Universal Studios, Warner Brothers, Disney, and Netflix. Together, we'll craft a narrative that combines high-octane adventure, behind-the-scenes authenticity, and engaging live streams, leveraging a reach of over 10 million engaged audiences. 
 

Your role as Creative Director puts you at the helm of this prestigious collaboration. You have the unique opportunity to work alongside fifteen of the most prominent brands in the adventure and four-wheel-drive industry as you guide the artistic and creative direction to ensure our content resonates globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Idea Creation: Lead the initial conceptualisation and development of creative ideas, ensuring alignment with the Director's vision and the brand's strategic objectives.
  • Creative Oversight: Provide comprehensive oversight of the creative and artistic direction of projects, guiding the visual, narrative, and aesthetic elements to meet project ambitions.
  • Marketing Integration: Collaborate with the marketing teams to ensure that content creatively integrates brand messages and meets marketing objectives, enhancing audience engagement and brand loyalty.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the central communication hub between the creative team, Director, and marketing department, ensuring seamless integration of creative and strategic visions.
  • Content Strategy Contribution: Play an active role in shaping the content strategy, advising on creative trends and audience preferences to ensure the content remains relevant and impactful.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media Studies, Marketing, or a related creative field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in creative production, with a track record of leading projects from concept to creative execution. 
  • Deep understanding of creative processes, storytelling, and visual communication, with a keen eye for aesthetic quality.
  • Experience working closely with marketing teams to integrate strategic objectives into creative content.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of nurturing creativity and collaboration within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt creative concepts to meet project goals and audience expectations.
  • Passionate about storytelling, with a creative and innovative mindset.
