To supplement their continued growth, they’re seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join their Brisbane based team.
The Role
Reporting to the Credit Manager, this will play a key role in assessing the financial risk in relation to credit applications, working closely with management to ensure effective business decisions are made. Your duties will include but not be limited to:-
- Review of credit applications within your delegation or recommendation of applications beyond approval levels, resolving and negotiating sensitive issues.
- Maintaining a customer-focused approach to lending and portfolio management.
- Analysis of industry and macroeconomic changes which might impact outcomes.
- Working with internal stakeholders and customers to deliver insightful solutions.
- Ensuring portfolios are appropriately monitored and managed.
- Partnering with borrowers to offer proposals on collection strategies.
- Identify trends that may have an impact on the credit risks associated with partners/customers.
- Prepare monthly reports for management.
About You
You will be adept in navigating complex structures and fostering relationships. Experience with reporting and credit underwriting skills, prioritising customer service, displaying a keen understanding of clients' businesses, strategies, and long-term needs through effective communication and negotiation procedures.
Skills & Experience
- Graduate or post graduate degrees in business/finance or other relevant field.
- Qualified or progressing through CA, CPA or CFA.
- Experience in a credit risk or Credit Analyst position, including exercising a delegation.
- Confidence and skill to make complex commercial credit decisions and coach others on the same.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with absolute integrity.
- Strong proven communication, stakeholder management and negotiating skills.
