About the role
- Working closely alongside our current Director to provide outstanding service to all Finance Detective clients.
- Analyse financial data, including credit reports, tax returns, payslips and bank statements provided by brokers and clients to determine borrowing capacity
- Proposal of products that will help the borrower meet their requirements and objectives
- Calls & emails to lenders to ensure their policy allows clients to proceed with the structure they want
- Inbound calls & emails to clients that relate to all aspects of the research & settlement process
- Negotiating exceptions and approval with the banks
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with other members of the lending team to ensure timely and efficient processing of loans
- Provide support to brokers with data entry and office duties.
- Signing of loan documents with customers
Skills and experience
- Minimum Cert 4 of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management desirable.
- A minimum of 2 years existing banking / residential mortgages experience, loan processing expertise, and a broad understanding of the lending market.
- Ability to read & understand income documentation & an understanding of self-employed financials in line with mortgage credit requirements/policies, in order to determine clients serviceability.
- Experience as a broker's assistant or broker is essential.
- Experience with submitting and tracking loan applications, including client/broker updates.
- Proactive approach in negotiating and communicating with lenders, settlement agents and clients in overcoming potential roadblocks.
