  • Full time, permanent opportunity based in Melbourne CBD
  • Start your career with Mortgage Operations from May
  • Set shifts of 10am – 6pm, Monday to Friday

How will I help?  

As part of the Mortgage Operations team, you will be paramount to helping contribute the delivery of Westpac’s vision by responding to and resolving a variety of requests and enquiries from our 3rd Party network (brokers) via written and verbal means as part of the credit assessment process.  

In your new role as an Assessor, you’ll be responsible for assessing applications received from the broker, clarifying loan requirements, structuring the loan and completing approval processes with credit policy.   

You will be a part of our 10am – 6pm shift, Monday to Friday. During your initial training you will be required to work 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday until training is completed.  

What do I need?  

You will be customer focused professional and will aim to meet our client home lending needs through assessing the viability of the customer’s application/request, verifying all documentation, and addressing any quality deficiencies to protect both the customer and the bank. You are confident in providing quality outcomes in a timely manner as well as a confident communicator to keep stakeholders informed throughout the process.  

Ideally, you will be knowledgeable of the products we have on offer and have credit assessment experience but most importantly, you will have a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and a keen interest in building a career with us.  

In addition, the below requirements will also be highly regarded:  

  • Strong administrative skills, able to assess and analyse various documents and follow processes and policy, within a highly compliant environment     
  • You describe yourself and resilient and adaptable  
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and investigate errors  
  • Confident communicator – both written and verbal - able to build professional partnerships with internal and external customers
