Job description

About us

- Growing Fintech start-up supported by ASX 100 company

- Credit assessor role

- Hybrid working

When we established TruePillars in 2016, our goal was to create something unique that could have a lasting, positive impact on the Australian financial landscape.

Embracing technology, we set out to reshape and improve how capital flows in our communities by connecting business owners seeking finance with investors seeking income via our online marketplace.

To drive our vision, we've assembled a team of talented and committed finance and technology professionals who are bound by the common ideology of 'doing good'.

On the back of a recently completed capital raise led by Superseed Ventures, the VC arm of the Reece Group, an ASX-100 listed company, we are moving into an exciting new phase of growth that will see us ramp up distribution on both sides of our business.

Credit Assessor

To support our ongoing growth, we are seeking an experienced Credit Assessor to process loan applications for a variety of different lending products. Your role will involve direct contact with our referral partners and borrowers, as well as senior internal stakeholders.

TruePillars operates a modern credit assessment process that uses technology to gather relevant information quickly, enabling experienced Credit Assessors to make fast decisions. Supported by the nCino banking software platform, we are constantly refining our credit process to introduce modern techniques and create further efficiencies. This role provides an opportunity to transition from traditional to modern credit assessment in a fast-growing business that is constantly developing new credit products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hands on assessment of loan applications, including direct contact with sales staff, referral partners and applicants
  • Implement the credit policy
  • Implement the credit process and play an active role in our quest for continual improvement via the use of technology to further automate and delight our customers
  • Work closely with the sales team to support commercial priorities on a daily basis
  • Assist in ongoing product development, working with the sales team to support business growth

About you

This is your chance to join a growing Fintech start-up, backed by an ASX 100 company. You will enjoy the opportunity to engage with customers and key internal stakeholders. You have been involved in financing small businesses (particularly Equipment Finance) and are familiar with the challenge of incomplete and imperfect information to support loan applications. You like getting hands-on with loan applications and finding ways to get deals approved, rather than declining them outright.

We have a collaborative and supportive culture that promotes and embraces diversity, continuous learning and personal growth. We support a hybrid working environment. Most importantly, we're here to do good, make a difference and have a genuine positive impact on the communities we serve.

Key attributes we seek in you

  • Minimum four year’s experience in credit or front line within a bank or other financial institution
  • Experience with small business borrowers
  • Strong understanding of Equipment Finance
  • Customer service experience
  • A great eye for detail and accuracy
  • Experience with using the nCino loan origination platform, Salesforce, DocuSign and PPSR will be advantageous but not essential
  • Effective communicator with an ability to build rapport with borrowers and stakeholders alike
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • The legal right to work in Australia

What’s in it for you

  • Market competitive salary based on experience
  • Melbourne CBD location
  • Training and support from a highly experienced team
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Friendly and supportive work environment that encourages work/life fulfilment
  • Strong and supportive team culture
  • The opportunity to progress into more senior roles in a fast-growing business

How to apply

Does this role sound like your next opportunity? We would love to hear from you as soon as possible so please "Apply Now"! Attach your resume and write a covering letter telling us why you feel you are the perfect person to join the TruePillars team.

We will not be accepting any applications from recruiters at this stage.
