We are looking for a Credit Supervisor to join our team! 

You will support the setting and delivery of finance strategy, finance modernisation activity, associated process improvements and effective change management to ensure high quality, efficient and effective credit management, debt collection and customer service activities. 

Please note, this is a full time permanent role with hybrid working options. 

Your part in our UnitingCare team: 

  • Analysis of accounts within assigned Debtor portfolio to ensure outstanding debts are prioritised effectively to reduce arrears, maximise cash collection and reduce bad debt in line with strategic outcomes.
  • Assist the development and implementation of strategies, policies and procedures to ensure high quality, efficient and effective credit management and advanced debt collection activities.
  • Ensure all systems are kept up to date, ledgers maintained and case management in place to reflect the actual state of each credit account.
  • Implement proactive and effective stakeholder and customer case management disciplines to resolve open accounts receivable issues, discrepancies and drive recovery of past due balances to accelerate cash collections
  • Accurate and timely receipting of customer payments, cash application and processing of customer payments, if required
  • Assist with analysing results to highlight aged receivables and provide critical insights on collectability and doubtful debt
  • Empower, train, and coach team members to act as customer liaison officers to ensure quality processes and standards are in place 
  • Support the delivery of monthly close processes and cyclic activity
  • Assist with internal and external audit activity and deliverables 
  • Assist with cyclic reviews of financial controls, procedures and processes
  • Prioritise team engagement, development and wellbeing initiatives
  • Lead and supervise the team’s daily activities
  • Coach and support staff to become highly skilled process improvement experts, who will champion business improvement initiatives

  • Supervisory/Management experience with operational finance experience, including Credit Supervisor/Management position in a large organisation/multi-entity environment
  • Supervisory/Management experience in dynamic change and complex environments
  • Proven experience in supervising and implementing best practice Credit Management and Collections strategy and processes
  • Strong leadership and driven to deliver results
  • Strong communication, reasoning, stakeholder management and customer service skills
  • Performance and proficiency supervision, staffing management, time management, coordination and ongoing professional development
  • Efficient with financial policy and process development
  • Effective in decision making, planning and positive proactive approach
  • Ability to quickly comprehend and learn new systems/processes
  • Performance driven with ability to handle multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines in a high-pressure, fast paced environment
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical and creative thought processing skills
  • Ability to prepare detailed reports using ERP, Excel and reporting tools
  • Intermediate to advanced level of Excel skills
