Oversee both the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams

This leading Australian manufacturer has been in operation for over 35 years in Australia and similarly in New Zealand. They provide innovative products to a wide customer range from large government projects right through to the public via their retail network.
Their finance team which is based out of the head office in Braeside is seeking an experienced Accounts Team Leader (with a strong background in Credit Management) to oversee and ensure the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Treasury functions run smoothly. This varied role will also support the Financial Controller with general accounting duties.
This hands-on role will see you more specifically responsible for.
Managing the AP and AR functions and staff
Supervise the banking activities.
Manage cash flow.
Review and provide commentary on the ATB for overdue accounts.
Cash management, including bank overdrafts.
weekly cash balance reporting
Assist with the AP duties.
Foreign currency processing and payment
SME for escalated issues with AP
Bank statement reconciliation
GL account reconciliation
GL analysis
To be successful you will have worked in a Credit Management/Supervisory capacity previously. Training on AP will be provided. You will have excellent communication skills - both written and verbal. You will be someone who leads by example and have worked in hands on team leading role previously. Experience with a system such as SAP or Oracle is preferred.
