About the Role:
The Group Credit department supports ORIX Australia Corporation Limited and its wholly owned subsidiaries (including ORIX New Zealand Limited) and provides credit assessment, credit risk and credit control services to the business. It is responsible for always exhibiting the highest ethical conduct including strict observance of the Privacy Act 1988 and confidentiality policies and procedures.
The successful applicant will possess:

- Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills

- Good numeracy skills
- Have an articulate, calm and confident manner to handle difficult conversations.
- Have a sound general knowledge of legal issues relevant to leasing, financing and enforcing securities
Reporting to the Credit Control Manager, responsibilities will include:
- Taking ownership of and actioning allocated accounts to ensure that all outstanding monies are collected within ORIX guidelines and standards.
- Communicating with customer in arrears using all available mechanisms
- Pursuing customers and internal stakeholders to hard deadlines
- Negotiating arrears re-payment arrangements, within ORIX guidelines
- Issuance of various arrears and default notices as required.
- Providing reports and analysis of accounts which become delinquent.
- Handling invoice and collection enquiries and/or disputes
- Account maintenance (eg. updating address and phone records in OMS)
