The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Credit Officer to manage the accounts receivable function for the business. Reporting to the Financial Controller you will liaise with customers to ensure the timely collection of payments and work with the internal team to ensure customer account issues are resolved on a timely basis.
Your focus will be to deliver increased and sustained value to the business by:
- Reconciliation of accounts receivable ledger (local and overseas ledgers).
- Receipting and allocation of payments, ensuring accuracy of allocation.
- Prepare credit notes for approved rebates.
- Support month end process.
- Collection of customer payments.
- Work on new account applications – Obtain trade references and approvals.
- Set up new customer accounts and maintain on ERP system.
- Prepare credit hold lists and send notification to affected customers.
- Place customers on credit hold and release orders on hold.
- Sending customers copies of invoices/statements on request.
- Working on customer queries including unpaid invoices, request for credits and obtaining proof of deliveries.
- Working with our shared service centre and customer service team.
The Candidate
You will have had experience in Credit Collections or Account receivable preferably in a larger volume processing role. You will be a team player with excellent customer service skills and attention to detail who is proficient in Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel and Word. Previous experience with the Iscala system would be well regarded but not mandatory.
