Crew Leader - Transport & Logistics. In this unique role you will report directly to the Specialist -Transport and Logistics and will be responsible for but not limited to, leading a small team to safely execute the preparation and delivery of metal to our customers and participants.Leading on the frontline is one of the most important jobs in our business and comes with a huge amount of responsibility. - Developing and nurturing a safety culture that delivers world class safety performance.
- Being able to work across output team boundaries to always deliver the best outcome for the smelter.
- Leading the Crew in a way that ensures that the performance of the team meets or exceeds plan
- Delivering operational excellence by identifying and implementing improvement initiatives.
- Conducting required audits and inspections to a high standard, and for the purpose of reinforcing a strong HSE culture and systems.
- Ensuring targets are consistently delivered in a sustainable/ timely manner and with maximum customer satisfaction
- Developing relief Crew Leaders and other required capability within the team
- Facilitate Daily shift start meeting
- Work closely with our contracting partners
About youTo be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in smelter or refinery operational environment preferred but not essential
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams (permanent or acting)
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy including exposure to Microsoft Word, Excel, SAP, Metpro
- Rep/ Delegate experience (preferred)
