About the role
The role of Crew Leader State Roads is responsible for the delivery of general maintenance, predominantly in the area of roads and drainage, utilising both in-house maintenance staff and contractors. This role will see you responsible for undertaking a range of duties and responsibilities including the planning of maintenance works to deliver quality projects efficiently and cost effectively through maximising the utilisation of materials, plant and staff.
In addition, in this role you will be responsible for supervising a team of staff and occasionally contractors and external service providers for the maintenance of roads, drainage and associated works while ensuring you carry our your duties and responsibilities in a manner that complies with all legislation and Council policies relating to WHS, Environmental Management and relevant construction standards and codes.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A General Induction card (White) for Construction Works.
- A current MR Truck Licence.
- A current RMS Traffic Controller Licence (Blue).
- A current RMS Implement Traffic Control Plans Licence (Yellow).
- A current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain this qualification.
- A current WorkCover accreditation as a Dogger, or willing to obtain this licence.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience of day labour employees and the delivery of maintenance projects.
- Demonstrated experience in the maintenance of civil works, roads and drainage.

Other important information
- The salary range for this position sits between $61.5k - $67.8k plus a weekly $18.28 working allowance plus 11% superannuation
- This is a Permanent full-time role.
- This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight.
- This role is located at the Erina Depot
- Successful candidates may be required to have vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B and Tetanus
