Job description

The Critical Care Principal House Officer role at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital is a new role designed to facilitate pre-vocational experience for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander doctors interested in pursuing specialist training in Anaesthesia, Intensive Care Medicine, or Emergency Medicine. The year would also be an excellent foundation in Critical Care medicine for doctors wishing to pursue ACCRM fellowship.

About the role

The Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital offers extensive exposure to a wide range of medical and surgical subspecialties, tertiary obstetrics, trauma and burns.

Cultural support will be provided by the Metro North Health Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Leadership Team.  This includes access to the Social and Emotional Wellbeing program, which supports the social, emotional and mental wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees working across Metro North Health services.
