Role Overview:
Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young people facing complex challenges? We're seeking empathetic, level-headed individuals with a natural ability to connect with children and teens. As a Youth Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to support and mentor young people, create community participation opportunities,,, and facilitate positive behaviour change.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualification in disability support, youth work, education, or related field
- Previous experience working with children with trauma and disabilities preferred
- Understanding of Trauma-Informed Care and ability to implement trauma-informed practices
- Effective communication skills and ability to build rapport with children and families
- Current Australian driver’s license (minimum class ‘C’ – South Australian)
- Willingness to undergo medical and functional assessments, National Police Check, and DHS Child-Related Employment Screening
- Availability for shift work including nights, weekends, and public holidays
Recruitment Process:
Our recruitment process includes a pre-screening interview, behavioural job interview, group exercise, and personality evaluation questionnaire. Successful candidates will undergo medical, functional, and psychological assessments.
