About the role
The primary purpose of this position is to undertake post graduate studies in Critical Care nursing. To deliver clinical patient care related activities in accordance with the educational preparation and level of clinical competence to achieve and maintain a standard of patient care in line with the policies and objectives of Grampians Health.
This course runs from June 2024 to December 2025, and can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis and located in Horsham.
Skills and experience
Essential:
- Current Division 1 registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
- Enrolment in Deakin University Master of Nursing Practice (Critical Care) or Melbourne University Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing (To be discussed at interview)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in the use of information technology
- Passionate about delivering outstanding patient centred care
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement
- Demonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development
Desirable:
- At least one year Registered Nurse experience preferred (not essential)
- Acute clinical skills relevant to area
