We are seeking a self starter to join our team working in our newly commissioned Glass recycling plant. Why Ahrens based at Orora? Attractive day shift role working 6am- 2pm- (Monday to Friday) The Role: The Mechanical Fitter will be a part of a small team working for the Glass Recycling Plant. You will utilise your trade and other skills to support and enhance the performance and maintenance of machinery. Although this role works day shift Monday to Friday 6.00am - 2.00pm we will require some flexibility to be on call after hours during the week. This role will be very autonomous and, varied, so, we are seeking someone who enjoys new challenges and managing their own time with a variety of tasks. Key Responsibilities Inspect, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot and repair all equipment as required Respond to breakdowns Adjust ensure smooth operation of equipment and machinery Conduct routine preventative maintenance Preventative maintenance tasks What We're Looking For Trade Qualification - Maintenance Fitter Pneumatic Experience Manual arc welding experience Capacity to work autonomously Flexibility in working hours Strong safety focus In conjunction with the above, the successful applicant will possess strong communication skills, have a high level of initiative and a ‘can do' attitude. Being able to work as part of a team as well as independently is imperative as is experience within a maintenance team environment. Sign on Bonus available to successful candidates!
