About The Role:
BKI is seeking a Teacher - Mumgu Dhal Cultural Program to join our Corrections team at Fulham Correctional Centre. The key responsibility of this role is to deliver quality education to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander men in a range of settings including classroom or residential units.
You will be contributing to design, facilitation and evaluation of teaching and learning programs. You will also develop assessment tools and support planning and evaluation in a range of custodial settings.
We are excited about you because you have:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or (TAE40110) including Design & Develop Assessment tools (TAEASS502 or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B) and address Adult language, literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills (TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A).
- Relevant vocational qualification and/or competencies at least to the level to be delivered and assessed
- An understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Island culture that will provide students with the capability to investigate Australian Indigenous culture and history and its impact on current events
