CUSTODY OFFICER

As a Custody Officer, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and secure environment for detainees in custody. Your responsibilities will include ensuring their welfare needs are met and always maintaining a professional and respectful approach.

Training will commence on 2nd April 2024
Hourly rates: Starting at $27.35 during training and increasing to $29.53 post-training
This role requires you to:
Safe transport and supervision of detainees during critical activities
Participating in court activities for security requirements
You will have the opportunity to manage conflict and communicate with empathy, making a positive impact on the lives of detainees

Your role will involve providing safety and security for Persons in Custody, staff, employees, and members of the public
Enjoy the variety of performing walking and mobile patrols of a designated area
You will be responsible for supervising people in custody, escorting them to appointments or court appearances, and maintaining accurate records.
To be eligible for this exciting opportunity, you will need:
Availability to train full time for 6 weeks in Perth (Fully Funded): We provide the necessary training to set you up for success
Commitment to a minimum of 12 months to obtain qualifications: We value your dedication and commitment to your professional growth
You must have the legal right to work in Australia
Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical, including a drug & alcohol test: Ensuring the safety and well-being of our team members and detainees is our top priority.
