About Metro Trains Sydney (MTS)
MTS is now in its fifth year of operating Australia’s first fully automated passenger railway, the Sydney Metro North-West line, and will soon be extending this Metro line through to the City and Southwest. About the Roles
Commencing March 2024, we have exceptional opportunities for passionate and driven Customer Journey Coordinators – Trains to join our Operations and Customer Experience team. These roles will be instrumental in delivering world class customer service to our customers as they travel on the Metro Network.
Reporting to the Customer Operations Lead, these frontline roles will be responsible for managing first response incidents and ensuring adherence to safety standards at all times while delivering exceptional customer service on our Metro Network.
These are shift work positions which include working on 24/7 rotating 12-hour shifts on stations (including early starts, weekends, public holidays and peak periods).
These roles will work along the Sydney Metro North-West line (Tallawong to Chatswood) until the network extends to the city and southwest.
To join our team you will need to:
ability to understand and apply fully automated rail operation fundamentals, including providing safe operation under a variety of scenarios
savvy with new technologies, you will be technically minded and have the ability to quickly learn new skills
confident and competent in using business software including Microsoft Office tablet applications
pride yourself on delivering world class customer service without any compromise
able to work in a fast paced and at times challenging environment
remain calm and resilient under pressure, while remaining positive and focused
possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
enjoy working cooperatively as part of a team to achieve the same goals
appreciate cultural diversity and show sensitivity towards customers who may need extra help and assistance when travelling
able to stand for long periods of time
Training Program
If you've been successful in the recruitment journey, you'll begin our full training program. You'll cover a range of topics including rail operation fundamentals, personal safety, emergency procedures, customer service and first aid. Training involves written and practical components in which you will need to achieve competency.
Classroom based training is held at our Learning Centres located in the CBD and/or Tallawong.
